Grooming

English Setters need a good daily brush to keep their coats in good condition. This is important if your dog is a family pet, but all the more so if your English Setter is a working dog or if you exercise it in the likes of dense undergrowth where thorns or other debris can become entangled in its coat. In the latter case it will also give you the opportunity to check for any skin damage which should be treated as soon as possible to avoid the risk of infection.
